Design & Degree Show is a three day design conference organised by IDC, IIT Bombay. it is the annual design showcase by the outgoing batch of masters of design, IDC. DDS is also a platform to brings together renown design practitioners and thinkers through talks and discussion on design, tech, society, art and sustainability.
the philosophy for the visuals stem from the process of cymatics. it is a phenomena when a certain sound frequency passes through particle/liquid, it forms nodal patterns on the medium. the form is dictated by the frequency of the wave and the medium through which it passes. the identity and branding is an acknowledgment of the constant tug of war between being in control of the form vs being formless.
