situated in the apple belt valley of Shilaroo; 50 km from Shimla, Pāras Residency offers abode to travellers away from the usual destinations around Shimla.
the identity reflects the roots of Himachal and visual heritage with a contemporary spirit.
the mark is a direct reflection of the Himachali handloom, especially the Kulluvi shawl. the form also reflects the structure of the Pahari house where communal space is always around the source of warmth and heat ie. chulha or angithi.
this identity exercise is also an attempt to draw inspiration from the local visual grammar for local businesses – an attempt to look in to the past, borrow and preserve.
